Discover the Magic Behind Escape Rooms Takapuna
If you're looking for an unforgettable experience that challenges your mind, strengthens your team, and gives you stories to talk about for weeks — you're in the right place.
At Escape Rooms Takapuna, we do more than lock you in a room with puzzles. We transport you into another world where the clock is ticking, the stakes are high, and your brain is your best weapon.
But with so many escape rooms out there, why choose us?
Let’s break it down.
Immersive, One-of-a-Kind Themes
Our rooms aren’t just puzzles with locks. They’re living stories. Whether you're casting spells at a School of Wizardry, travelling through time in a Time Machine, solving a mystery in a retro American Diner, or surviving the creepy secrets of The Doll, each game is carefully designed to feel like stepping into an alternate world. Every detail is chosen to enhance the realism and thrill. We don’t copy and paste ideas. We build unique, original games you won’t find anywhere else in New Zealand.
Puzzles That Make You Think (And Smile)
Our games are designed to challenge all types of thinkers — from logic lovers to creative minds. You'll find clever twists, unexpected mechanisms, and satisfying "Aha!" moments throughout each room.
Don’t worry — if you get stuck, we’ve got you. Our game masters are trained to guide you just enough to keep the fun going without giving too much away.

Fun for All Ages & Occasions
Birthday parties? Date nights? Family outings? Corporate team-building?We've hosted them all — and everyone walks out with a grin.
Our rooms are built to be inclusive and enjoyable for first-timers and experienced escapers alike. We’ve even seen three generations of the same family working together to beat the clock!
Highly Rated Customer Experience
We believe your experience starts before the countdown does. From the moment you walk through our door, you're greeted by friendly staff, fun banter, and a high-energy vibe.
Our reviews speak for themselves — we're proud of our reputation for being welcoming, supportive, and just a little bit mischievous.
Technology-Driven, Not Just Padlocks
While old-school locks can be fun, we take things a step further. Our rooms feature interactive tech, hidden triggers, lighting effects, and more. It’s not just about turning keys, it’s about interacting with your environment in surprising and exciting ways.
Locally Owned & Loved
We’re a proudly independent, Kiwi-owned business. That means we’re not answering to a corporate franchise — we’re here for the love of the game and the thrill of the escape. Every puzzle and prop is made with passion, creativity, and a bit of homegrown flair.
You’ll Want to Come Back for More
With multiple rooms, evolving themes, and new games in the works, Escape Rooms Takapuna is the kind of place you’ll want to return to. Many of our customers come back again and again — and we always have a new challenge waiting.

Escape Rooms Takapuna isn’t just about escaping a room. It’s about escaping the ordinary.
It’s where you and your friends become the heroes of the story. It’s where time disappears and your imagination comes alive. And it’s where your team will surprise you with just how clever, creative, or competitive they really are.
So... why choose us? Because no one does it quite like we do.

Lovely, articulate piece that explains things properly rather than skimming the surface. The information feels dependable and is presented in a calm, well-ordered way. Lovely to read something so carefully put together and easy to digest. The order of information felt natural, moving from the basics to the finer details at a comfortable pace. I emailed the link to my sister, who I know will appreciate it. Definitely a piece I would recommend without hesitation.
